Magazine Advert Analysis - Justice

I struggled to find magazine adverts that fit within the indietronica genre however found a few relating towards the electronic genre which is the reason the sub-genre indietronica was created. I chose to look at this magazine advert in particular that was created for 'Justice' as these are one of the most popular duos within the electronic genre. The main feature that is focused is the central alignment of the font and the bands logo which is in a bright yellow colour. This instantly focuses all attention onto the bands logo which is situated at the top of the advertisement within the central alignment, this instantly attracts fans and makes people interested in the duo due to acknowledging the duos logo before noticing the rest of the advertisement. The advertisement doesn't go into a great amount of detail but it appears to be showing in smaller text at the bottom of the centrally aligned text the idea of a live concert or the release of a live DVD. This can again grab attention from the audiences just from a very simplistic idea, as it contrasts with the background image and is centrally aligned. The background image shows a live concert however it is in black and white in order to make the focus be on the text rather than the busy background image that has been used. This advertisement is a prime example of the idea of simplicity within the electronic/indietronica genre as it doesn't have a mass amount of detail added towards the advertisement.
