Creative & Inspirational Music Videos Cont.

Rebecca & Fiona are a swedish female duo that have gain a vast amount of popularity due to the social networking site 'Tumblr' which tends to be the main site for indietronica artists to gain an audience. Furthermore they play within a lot of clubs in order to gain more attention from people, their looks tend to be a great way for them to gain popularity. Within their videos the 'Male Gaze' theory appears to be featured throughout. The camera tends to focus on the female body a lot as can be seen with the 'bullets' video, the pair wear a lack of clothing in order to gain attention from the male audience. The duo appear to never be dressed in order to look less sexually objectified and more powerful within the videos. However within 'Jane Doe' the duo appear to be almost joking about women being treat like dolls within the video.

Niki & The Dove features a female lead singer, within music videos the female isn't sexually obectified. The female is always seen wearing a distinct amount of clothing and the music video strongly features on the creativity behind the editing rather than the female's body. This is something I'd very much like to focus on creating when making my music video as it will encourage me to not focus on the 'Male Gaze' theory but rather challenge it and make the female lead appear to be strong without sexual objectification.
