It creates an idea that people suffering with this mental health illness try to hide it but they can't it's noticeable. The idea of heartbreak and love is referenced by 'the kiss you did not earn' it creates an idea of giving their love to someone when they didn't deserve it. Although it appears the majority of the song is strongly focussing on the idea of depression within the singer.
